Ending HIV criminalization – lessons from Zimbabwe
The IAS Heart of Stigma programme, in partnership with the HIV Justice Network, is hosting a webinar titled, “Ending HIV criminalization – lessons from Zimbabwe”, to mark HIV Is Not a Crime Awareness Day. Join us for a discussion on HIV criminalization, focusing on Zimbabwe’s landmark progress. In 2022, the country repealed its HIV-specific criminal law, and in 2024, efforts to recriminalize HIV were successfully blocked. This webinar will explore the lessons learned from Zimbabwe and the broader implications for HIV justice worldwide.
